Country Pulse -His Majesty King Abdullah II received a delegation of members of the US House of Representatives, headed by MP Adam Smith, at a meeting on Jordan-US strategic partnership and regional developments.
During the meeting, which was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, His Majesty expressed appreciation for the support provided by the United States to Jordan in many developmental and defense fields, pointing to the importance of the role of Congress in this regard.
The meeting dealt with the crises in the Middle East and the search for political solutions that restore security and stability for its people, as well as regional and international efforts in the war on terrorism, within a holistic approach.
For their part, members of the delegation stressed the depth of relations between Jordan and the United States, and their keenness to strengthen them in various fields, expressing appreciation for the role played by Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, to achieve peace and stability in the region.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, the King's Advisor for Communication and Coordination, the King's Advisor for Policy and Information, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
